 Behavioural change

Ensuring that we have sufficient resources in the future will necessitate a change in the way that both consumers and businesses use the resources available today.

Resource Futures believes that affecting behavioural change requires a multi-pronged approach to enable old habits to be broken and new habits established. Individuals and businesses need to know why it is important to change; they need to know what options are available to them and how to access these options. Services and products need to be developed that are both relevant and easily accessible. Finally a change in attitudes does not automatically lead to a change in behaviour help will be needed to break those old habits.

Resource Futures offers a range of services to help achieve this behavioural change. We offer research services to help assess both current attitudes and behaviours. We offer communication and school education services to help inform, educate and persuade and we offer technical consultancy services to help develop and deliver relevant, accessible services and products.

Lastly, we recognise that incentives can be sticks or carrots. Different target groups in different circumstances require different approaches.

Resource Futures' cross-team working means that we can ensure that our clients find the right mix to change attitudes and achieve the behavioural change they are aiming for.
